Questions for the Coventry Reunion

Q: Due to our numbers at the Adelphi Reunion this year we would like to up our reserved room allocation to between 65 – 70. We had 140 people at this reunion and don’t want to have anyone miss this one. If there is a financial penalty involved if we don’t fill all of these rooms then we will have to take as many as you can offer us. I have advised everyone at the reunion to book early for 2008 so as not to be disappointed as any rooms not filled will be open to anyone 2 months prior to the reunion date.

A: Have Spoken to Sam and this has been altered and your allocation has been increased.


Q: Are we able to have a room to ourselves for the Friday & Sunday nights, with at least 2 bar staff, and will we be eating on the Friday & Sunday nights in our own area. A: All depends on your Numbers, but we will try to accommodate your requirements Q: Is it possible for us to all have breakfast together or do we eat at the main dinning area.

A: Your Breakfast will be served during you stay in Bentley’s Restaurant.


Q: Are we still able to have a separate booking in place on the main desk (arranged with Jean), I don’t mind helping as I’m organising the reunion and I’ll be there early.

A: This is Possible, Due to the Nature of your Check In wee can have a Member of our team to Hand out the room keys and Registration Cards, If your reunion guests would like to charge any items to their room they will have to go to the main reception desk and swipe their credit card, so we can open up an account for them.


Q: Signage for the function rooms being used by us and in the foyer.

A: We can place a Flip chart in the Main foyer for your reunion to place any information, which you require on there, if you require any signage- we are more than happy to print the signs for you.


Q: Colour co-ordinated table linen and napkins.

A: We tend to use the universal White Table cloths and Napkins, with coloured Paper Napkins as inserts to give that additional Colour, If you require coloured table cloths & Coloured Napkins this may result in an additional charge, being made.


Q: A deal for house wine should we want it for Saturday night, possibly 4 bottles per table (2 of each). A: We are able to reduce our House Red and White Wine from £13.95 to £10.95 per bottle for you.


Q: What will the entertainment for the Saturday night be, A disco /quiz would be good.

A: We can arrange this for you, as it is included in your package


Q: If someone needs help are they still able to park by the hotel and in one of the loading bays and get help in (arranged with Jean).

A: I am afraid that due to new Fire regulations and procedures, we are not allowed to let our guests park in the loading bay, but we do have a drop off lay-by, outside the front doors for anyone requiring assistance.


Q: Do you still do the Free parking for the weekend, on booking out get a token from the main desk to get out of the car park, valid for 30 mins the last time I stayed.

A: We now offer discounted rates of £5.00 per day, instead of the normal car park price of £9.00 per day.


Q: Can we have a table in the main room on Saturday for the model of the ship and other memorabilia, and a smaller table for the “up spirits” ration to be dished out and about 70/80 glasses.

A: A Separate table in the Main room will not be a problem, Please can you let me know if you are supplying your own spirits or would you like us to supply the spirits for you.


Q: Room for Sunday’s A.G.M. and can we have some refreshments (tea, coffee & water).

A: Refreshments after the AGM, is not going to be a problem, we can arrange this at £1.00 per person.


Q: For the Saturday gala meal will there be a choice for the main course.

A: I am in the process of producing new menu’s, as soon as I have them authorised by the Head Chef I will forward you a copy.


Q: Has your hotel had it’s major revamp/redecoration.

A: We have had at present the Majority of our Bedrooms fully refitted with new fittings, new carpets, etc. We have also had the main bar decorated, also new furnishings, and the Restaurant has been fitted out with new fittings
