Part 4 from Dave & Julie Bassnett.....

The laying of the wreath and plaque was well received by the Permanent Staff on the island. In winter the plaque and wreath will be placed in the Church and replaced on the Grave in summer. I was constantly asked by other passengers why I was placing the tribute on Felix's Grave when he had been my enemy. My reply was that
"Felix was a professional sailor the same as we were, and doing our jobs as dictated by our politicians. As professionals we have respect for other sailors who face the same daily risks on the ocean waves no matter where they come from or from which nation. A SAILOR IS A SAILOR!!"
Everyone agreed with this principle and welcomed the gesture.
The 2nd/other wreath is from Guy Sheridan R.M
