The Cochrane was Retired of the Chilean Surface Fleet the last 22 September in valparaiso naval base and was sent to talcahuano naval base in 24 september. The Cochrane is a Final Ship active of the County class Destroyers in chile and in the World. The Cochrane was Built in England after 1966 and Commissioned to Royal Navy in 1970 with the name HMS Antrim D 18.

She was sold to chile in 1984 and after 1990 was refited to Helicopter Destroyer.After 1995,your Sea Cat short missile system was replace for VLS Sam Barak.Her air capacity was two Cougar attack helicopters. The Cochrane will Decommissioned of the Chilean Navy the next December 2006.
