   Welfare News

Hello All,

Just a quick word to let you know Pat Brown (Buster) is back home from hospital and sounding a little more cheerful.  Both Terry Bullingham and me have spoken to him quite recently.  Its good news he's home for Crimbo.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a brilliant and successful Hogmany.

Gerat news....   Thommo is now back at home with Joan.  All is looking well.

NEWS from Coventry

Latest update I have about Thommo. He appears to be making a good recovery albeit early days there have been no further complications. The intention is to transfer him to either Queen Alexandra or Haslar. The decision as always depending on bed availabilty. Haslar of course would be the preferred choice as they live in Elson. They are not happy to let him travel on any public transport, I guess purely as a precaution. So its an ambulance with nurses in attendance all the way. Thommo has been insisting he goes to Haslar so it looks like he may be getting back to normal.  To this end their son Neil will drive Joan down to her home in Gosport tomorrow morning (Wednesday 15th). I've been speaking to her just, and she's ready for home. Thommo of course will follow later, soon as a bed becomes available. It goes without saying they will be feeling much better when they get to there 'own patch'. I will keep the phone calls up and keep you all informed when Thommo gets home.

Best wishes

Les Adams (Daisy) no change. I spoke to Les tonight and he is in good spirits and determined to get on with life. He intends to get a computer, as he was a gun-buster we need to get a team up to show him how to plug it in! Again we speak weekly.

Pat Brown (Buster) Unable to talk to Buster. He is still in respite care. I spoke to Eileen, his wife who said he's pretty much the same. I will try to contact him on his mobile tommorrow. I will keep you informed whenever anything changes.

Best wishes
